It takes a village to raise a child!

Everyday, the students of the Adelaide L. Sanford Charter School enter an environment designed to nurture their minds, and build their abilities and self-esteem. This special place would not be possible to maintain without the contributions of the countless and faithful volunteers that support the mission of the school.

Our volunteers: parents, friends, family, elders, and believers - share their talents and time to make our corner of the world a better place. Join us!

Programs and enriching activities are the elements that round out a complete education. The Adelaide L. Sanford Charter School is always looking for energetic and talented individuals who have something special to offer our children The Parent Teacher Organization seeks to increase communication between parents and administrative and teaching staff to build the type of "Village" that will be needed to properly prepare our children. The PTO supports the challenge to help build an exceptional Charter School.

The PTO understand that the success of their children and the school begins by committing to two very important standards:

1. They start their school day earlier, and stay later. In order to teach more, you must allow for additional hours per school day.
2. The parents ALL participate and support these schools in many different ways.

The ALS Charter School parents give of their time and their talents for activities, field-trips, and fundraisers. Each class need parent liaisons to represent a go-between for the school and the parents. There are numerous activities and services that you may volunteer for as a parent.
